Lonely Arts Club

A new creative network in partnership with University of Chester

The Lonely Arts Club is a regular meet-up opportunity for creatives in Chester. It’s a chance to hear from artists about their practice, share ideas and learn more about contemporary arts programming in the city. The club launched in March 2022 with local music producer Luke Moore chatting to photographer Casey Orr and Chester artist Tim Foxon at Watergate Street Gallery.

In response to the launch of the Lonely Arts Club, Tim was commissioned by Refresh to create a series of his ‘merchandise with typos’ especially for Chester. The work is a playful and eye-catching exploration of what people are willing to buy. As with all Tim’s work, it’s created with joy.
